Description
The natural beauty of a lone migrating snow goose makes a foggy landing on the mostly frozen surface of the lake at Big Lake State Park in North Eastern Missouri to join other geese already on the open water and the ice. This image won the Capturing The Beauty category of the 2017 seventh annual Missouri Snapshots Photo Contest sponsored by Rural Missouri magazine and Missouri State Parks.

Wonderful contrast between the soft, faded, foggy environment and the sharp, crisp, well-captured snow goose in flight. This was one of my two pod's in the Best of Minimalism group for January 7.

Just that touch of color in the snow goose draws the attention and is perfect for this near-monochrome beauty, Kevin. This is a pod choice for me today in the Best of Minimalism group.
